The other night at work I went in to help a patient get ready for bed. When I got him all situated he said "Would you sing a hymn for me? My mother always used to sing hymns to me at night" his question caught me off guard to say the least because...
1. I can't sing AT ALL!
2. I only know a few lines to certain hymns
I began singing Nearer My God to Thee and only got through the first verse. I stopped and this little old man said "You have the most beautiful voice and it reminds me of my mothers" if that wasn't sweet enough he continued to say "Your voice should be inside of one of those talking Christmas Cards".
Haha no matter what anyone says I am taking that as a compliment :)
