Ever since I was a little girl I have wanted to fly an F/A-18 in the Blue Angel fleet. The F/A-18 can reach speeds just under Mach 2, almost twice the speed of sound or about 1,400 mph. The maximum rate of climb of the F/A-18 is 30,000 feet per minute. While visiting Oregon this year my family made a stop at the Evergreen Aviation Museum where I fell in love. I got to see most of the Blue Angel fleet as well as some combat carriers. If I had 20:20 vision I would have already joined the airforce! Maybe one day I can get these green eyes fixed and I can fulfill one of my life long dreams.Monday, September 6, 2010
